Gail Francis Carrington-Kunert

Gail Francis Carrington-Kunert, 79 of Webster, TX, passed away on July 1, 2024.  She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts to John Henry Carrington and Margaret St. Hilaire on May 27, 1945.  Eventually, her family would move to Caldwell, Texas where she spent most of her years growing up.  At the age of 26, Gail moved to Houston to work at NASA Johnson Space Center where her career extended for 53 years as a cataloger.  During her time at NASA, she met the love of her life John N. Kunert. They were friends for years and finally married in January of 2007.  Family was everything to her, and spending time with them was always precious.  She had many friends and rarely missed a chance to get together, whether it was for dinner, parties, or just for conversation.  Gift giving was one of her love languages and there was no mistaking how special her loved ones and friends were to her.  Each gift was a reminder of how much she knew and loved you, and they would be wrapped with her expert wrapping skills.  She was a daughter, sister, mom, friend and most of all a sister in Christ.  Her faith was the foundation for how she lived her life, always willing and ready to share the love of Christ with everyone.  It was her faith and relationship with God that gave her comfort in her last days.  Gail was a friend to all that who crossed her path and certainly to all who were in need.  Her sweet, soft-spoken voice matched her heart as she devoted herself unending acts of kindness and services to others both in their kindness and triumphs.  Her uplifting spirit left an indelible impression on all who knew her.

Gail was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Carrington and his wife and Winifred Carrington, mother Margaret St. Hilaire, loving husband John N. Kunert and grandson Sabastian Timothy Kunert

She is survived by her brothers David John Carrington and Michael L St. Hilaire; children, Laura Thornton, Paul Kunert and Adrianne Bickham; Grandchildren, Autumn Dumis, Jonathon Thornton, Joshua Thornton, Paul Kuner Jr, Emmalee Cheshire, Seth Kunert, Corrie and her husband Matt Boyd, Matthew Bickham; Great Grandkids John Kunert, Sylvia Kunert, Elyzabeth Kunert, Adaline Kunert, Brandall Cheshire, Levi Cheshire, Luna-Belle Cheshire, Wesley Wolfenbarger, Autumn Wolfenbarger, Avery Wolfenbarger, Norah Kunert, Jaxon Boyd, Evan Boyd, and Camryn Boyd along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
