RIP Fred Davis was our set dressing driver on the first season of Friday Night Lights in Austin. He was a great friend to everyone and it was always a pleasure to be in his company.
I am so sorry for your loss, I know you have been concerned about his health for a while. Hope you can find comfort knowing he is ok now, but I know that you will miss him always. Prayers for you and his family’s comfort.
Sorry to hear about his passing. Now I didn’t know him, but will always remember him buying all those butterfly quilt chances from Handcrafts. When you think about him and miss him : he is with his sweetheart in a beautiful place
Beautiful words Karin…wish he would have won that Beautiful Butterfly Quilt…
Thank you Glenda…It’s hard, as you well know, but I know he is up there with Cheryl and they are both watching over us..and in a much better place. Love ya, Cynthia
I remember Fred as a former PHS classmate and had recently reconnected through our PHS ’62 class FB page. my prayers are with the entire family..as he always seemed to be a ‘family first’ person..God Bless ‘
I knew Freddy for over 50 years. I met Freddy when he & Cheryl began dating. I had known Cheryl since I was 16. What an amazing life & interesting man. Always so nice & welcoming. And, he dearly loved Cheryl & his family. He & his interesting stories will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences to his family for your loss & may all your good memories bring you peace.
I will surely miss Freddie and Cheryl. We always enjoyed our visits to Texas to see my many relatives there and they always bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. I regret I had not lived closer to see everyone more often.
May God bless those who are left behind to grieve, but it’s comforting to know He has a place prepared for all of us when our time comes, and we will again see our dearly departed loved ones.
Both he and Cheryl’s passing have left such a great void in the lives of all who knew them–they were such fun and never could do enough to accommodate anyone around them!! We took many vacations together with our kids in the “hill” country, Garner, Sliderbaum, etc. and ate many Dairy Queen “blizzards” on the way and back. It was so hard to see his and Cheryl’s health slowly fade and they will be SO MISSED by all!! God Bless you both….
I loved Fred more than I can say. I can’t count the number of projects we worked on together over many years. Fred was always watchful and he felt like an uncle to me. I always knew that if something bad happened, Fred had my back. He was such a great guy, and I will always remember his kindness, reliability and laughter. His death is a huge loss for so many of us.
i love you papa
