Eugene “Gene” Harris passed peacefully November 2^nd at Kindred Hospital with family at his bedside.

Gene was born April 2, 1930 to Foster and Katherine Harris in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Sue Ann Kaeser September 1, 1951.  He and Sue resided in Cincinnati until 2004 when they moved to League City, Texas to be closer to their children.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and in the Army Reserves at Fort Knox after the war. Gene graduated from the University of Cincinnati College Of Engineering.  He was an engineer/scientist for the Environmental Protection Agency specializing in coal mine and oil shale reclamation.

Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife Sue Ann, his children Steve Harris, Kathy Kehr and her husband Paul, grandson Joshua Kehr and his wife Abby.

A memorial service will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas at 11:00am, Thursday November 5^th with a brief visitation at 10:30am.
