Enrique Urbano Sr
Enrique Urbano, Sr., 75, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2024 in Pearland, Texas. Enrique, a Brownsville native at heart, traveled extensively for over 40 years in the oil and gas industry. Though he called many places home over the past 75 years, Pearland had been home for the last decade. Family was everything to Enrique, and he built strong connections everywhere he went. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
A die-hard Texas fan through and through, Enrique championed the Cowboys, Astros, Texans, Rockets, Spurs, and the University of Texas. He even followed the Navy Midshipmen football team just like his dad. He’d often reminisce about past games, sharing his extensive knowledge and exciting stories about legendary athletes. Beyond sports, Enrique loved a good movie or crossword puzzle, some delicious BBQ, and a cold beer whenever he had the chance.
A beloved husband to his wife of 46 years Maria, and loving father to their daughter Erica (Rafael) and his son Henry (Letty). He is predeceased in death by his adored daughters Leticia and Laura.
Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Andrea Reyes and Josefa Tamez (Oscar); brother Eddie Urbano; Alice Urbano; Jose Hugo Sanchez Sr; six grandchildren Karina, Jose Hugo Jr., and Miguel Sanchez; and Eric, Shelby and Kevin Mendoza; three great-grandchildren Michael, Melanie and Kevin Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Enrique is preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Enriqueta Urbano, Sr.; sister Lourdes Contreras; brothers Juan, Alfonso Jr., Luis and Miguel Urbano.
His life will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 2308 E. Tyler St., Brownsville, Texas at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 23, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holy Family Church. https://holyfamilybrw.weshareonline.org
My condolences to the Urbano family. And brother in law
Henry Sr. He is now in the kingdom of our lord Jesus Christ may he rest in peace
My deepest sympathy to the family. Enrique was my classmate in elementary school up to the 6th grade. He was a quiet student and most respectful to us girls and the teachers and together with his peers helped out the staff to distribute books at the start of the school year and other chores. May his memory always provide solace to his family and friends and may the Lord comfort all at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
Rest in Paradise Brother, forever in our Hearts 💕
