Elaine Laura Oswald, 91, of League City, passed away in her home surrounded by her family. Elaine was born June 20, 1930 to Mamie L. and Albert O. Hunsicker in Allentown, PA.  She was wonderful mother, a happy homemaker and a follower of Jesus Christ.  She was a member of Fair Haven United Methodist Church. Elaine was an excellent gardener, loved animals, and was a devoted grandmother whose presence was welcomed at all her granddaughters’ activities.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Vernon Oswald, brothers Harold, Kermit and Carlton, sister Marguerite and nephew Timothy Mahrer.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory son David Carl Oswald and wife Patricia; sister Betty Mahrer; niece Shirley Grider and nephew James Mahrer; granddaughters Valerie Elaine Smith and Caleigh Nichole Oswald with great-granddaughter Peyton Elaine Smith on the way; and her constant companion, kitty Mango.

In her honor, a visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm, with a funeral service at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, www.shrinershospitalsforchildern.org
