  1. Edwin,

You in every way exemplified what it means to lead a life well-lived. As a testament to your character, you always had a kind word for anyone you met and your joyful demeanor meant that your interactions with everyone were always so pleasant.

You took great pride in your family and were always an inspiration. Your family had the benefit of your counsel throughout your life and are forever sustained by the wisdom and the moral and ethical guidance you shared as well as the boundless love you had for them.

I enjoyed our frequent conversations and all of the times you and Kathryn came to Austin to visit. We had such fun and created so many fond memories.

Your unwavering kindness and unfathomable optimism were the bedrock of a decades-long friendship. I am both humbled and honored that you considered me to be a friend. All of the wonderful memories of your friendship will live on; however, you will be dearly missed.

    John Dobrich
