So sorry to hear about Davey. Our best wishes for Carol and family. He will be missed by all. What a since of humor.
Davey was a good student and friend from high school.
I know you will treasure the moments you shared with him.
Thank you Davey for being such a great neighbor and friend. I am going to miss seeing you on the back porch when I came and went on my errands and work. I always enjoyed the many stories you shared with me and especially the nickname you called me; “Mariposa” (Spanish for butterfly). I will oversee your lovely wife Ms. Carole, as we continue without you. May you Rest In Peace forever and have eternal life.
Dear Carole –
I was so very sad to read of Davey’s passing. I have such fond memories of our shared teaching experiences at La Marque IDS. He was always so quick with a smile and a joke to make the day easier for everyone. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you both, but that time doesn’t lessen our friendship. Warmest thoughts and healing prayer.
Sincerely,
Eileen Townsend (ET)
Cousin Davey, you were the best hunter, fisherman, and cowboy. Its hard to say good-bye but you will not be forgotten. Thanks for all the fishing trips. Love ya,
Cousin Judy
Was a good friend to me back in Hitchcock High School and we
were pals! Good listener when I moved back home from Dallas in 1983. He will be missed by his loved ones and friends.
We had typing class together and he would put balls of paper in the electric typewriters and when the teacher did timed typing they would fly all over the place and I can hear her saying EDWARD !!!!!
R.I.P. fellow teacher. You were a joy to be around. Carol, I’m so saddened for your loss. May God bless you and comfort you and your family.
Davey, miss you buddy. The fishing in Jones Lake/West Bay and the bird hunting down South. Rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Carole and the rest of the family.
Love, Gerald and Donna Haschke
Haven’t seen Davey or Carol since our mutual friend Martha passed away but remember both of them with many happy memories. The world lost a good teacher and a good man. 🐘
Davey, last time I saw you we were at the ranch where our big plans were finally coming to pass and you built the new stairs for our trailer. I thought you had beat the cancer and you were feeling well. Carol was so good to keep me informed of the passing days to come. Things changed quickly and God called you home. I will never forget the great hunting and fishing times we shared and the stories you could tell were so funny. I will always treasure our friendship and miss you being here. You and Carol treated me like family even when I was sick at your home. Davey also saved my life when my heart stopped 3yrs ago and got me to a life flight helicopter. I pray our Father in heaven be merciful upon you and a hedge of protection around Carol. Friends forever Capt. Dan
Capt’n Dan. Davey shared the hunting trip story with us and it was true Davey Jones style. “You mean to tell me y’all went back up there!?” So glad it all turned out well so we could laugh at it then. We sure do miss him.
