Edda Louise Maraldo
Edda Louise Maraldo, 83, passed away on September 27, 2017 in Houston, Texas with her family at her bedside. She was born on December 1, 1933 in Cavasso Nuovo, Italy to Giovanni Zambon and Cesirra (Cartelli) Zambon. Edda is survived by her daughter Debbie and husband Dr. Frank Bonno, son Michael and wife Karen Maraldo, sister Gina Zambon Cutropia, niece and nephew Anna and Scott Haire, nieces Leslie Maraldo Selsmer and Lisa Maraldo, grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Christina, Claire, Brandon, Frank Jr., and Preston and other family members.
Edda immigrated with her family to the United States at an early age, later finding her husband in Houston, the love of her life, Mike Maraldo. Her life’s ambition was to love and care for her family with a sweetness that overcame all. She also had a passion for cooking, playing games and family get togethers.
Visitation and rosary will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at the Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598. Funeral service Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Bernadettes Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, Texas 77062. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.
I love you and will miss you so much Edda, but I know you’ll be so happy to be with Mike again! I’m sure there are plenty of tide sticks in heaven to get the stains out of Mike’s shirts. Debbie, Michael, Frank, Karen and everyone else mentioned above, I’m deeply sorry for your loss. She touched so many lives, and I’m so very grateful to have called her family.
