Earnest Edward (Radio) Williams, 68 of Texas City, Texas passed away Thursday at his residence. Mr. Williams was born on July 13, 1947 in Texas City, Texas, the son of Garvice Wilburn Williams and Tency Emma Legon Williams. He was a lifetime resident of Texas City and attended Texas City School. “Radio”, work as a longshoreman with Local Union # 20.
Mr. Williams is survived by his son Robert Edward Williams of Texas City.
I never knew “Radio” the man. I only knew “Junior” the boy. He loved swimming, bowling and movies.. Most of all he loved that fine pair of slick white shoes
He loved his first motor scooter the most and then the motor bike. His freedom to roam on that bike took him far away from his family and me..
He was a restless soul and I pray that Junior’s passing brought him peace and love. I knew that’s what the boy was seeking with little help of others.
