Dwight R. Clement
Dwight R. Clement, 67, passed away on January 15th, 2021 in Houston Texas. He was born on September 11th, 1953 to Rita Mae & Donald Clement. Dwight is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Clement; daughters, Kory & Kellie Clement; brothers, Dale & Dwayne Clement; grandchildren, Stewart Wynegar & Aiden Beckman, and numerous family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Kyle and sister Linda.
For those who knew him, Dwight was among the most compassionate people you would come across in this world. Growing up in Sulphur Louisiana, he earned a degree from McNeese university on a football scholarship that he earned from determination and a work ethic that he would continue to demonstrate through his professional career. He worked for various companies over the years that provided opportunities to travel, see the world, and share it with his family. Having lived & worked in places like Saudi Arabia and Nigeria, it was clear that his inspiration and effect on others transcended geographic, cultural, & language barriers all the same.Ā Most of all, he had a passion for his family, and it was this passion that drove his singular goal of providing a better life for them. Nothing he did in this life was without his family in mind.
A memorial will be held on Friday, January 22nd, at 5 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, Located at: 111 E Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598.

Cheri, our hearts go out to you and yours.
I knew Dwight a little from seeing him on business trips he made across the globe but didn’t know him well until we ended up moving to Lagos at about the same time. It was then that I came to know the man. And what a joy it was. Dwight was a wonderful, warm man who was a natural teacher and mentor to others. It was a pleasure being with him, not only working but having dinner or a beer and talking about music. I knew his first instrument was keyboards but he surprised one time at our house by picking up a guitar and playing a beautiful version of Wildwood Flower, telling me his Daddy said you really don’t know your way around a guitar unless you can play this song.
Dwight had a lasting impact on all who knew him and we will miss him though we will smile with each thought of him.
With Love,
Greg and Cathy
