Dorothy Marie Pressley Anthony Star passed from this world on November 29^th, 2020 at her home in La Marque, Texas. She was born on January 21^st, 1929 in Rockdale, Texas. During her life her most important dedication was the care of her children, Anne Marie Anthony Wilcox, Marion Jean Anthony Hegyesi, James Marshall Anthony, Steven Alexander Anthony, and Lawrence William Anthony. In later years she worked for the Girl Scouts of America, she was a troop leader. She also worked for the Greaney Company and finally owned and operated Burch’s Appliances Service with her husband George for many years. At long last, she retired and enjoyed her 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She also loved to read and did so as often as possible. She had a very good life and always had time for talks and hugs. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1^st husband John Anthony, Jr. and husband George Ralph Starr and 2 sons. She is survived by her brother Larry Pressley of South Carolina, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas. A service will be held at 12:00 pm with interment following at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
