Her senior year is when she met Ronald “Ron” Stasky at a football game, and he swears she tried to trip him to get his attention. They began their 3 – year courtship and during this time she proposed to him at a McDonalds. She was a woman that knew what she wanted! On April 19 th, 1954, they were married.
Ron joined the US Navy, and they were stationed in multiple locations across the US, eventually settling back home in Houston During that time, they welcomed and raised 8 children: Ronny, Kathy, Carol, Steve, James, Tim, Mary and Patty.
Dot was always a loving wife, caring mother, and wonderful homemaker. She and Ron had a Love that great books are written about. Always putting each other first and always expressing their love for one another brought them over 70 years of happily ever after.
In her spare time, she loved to read, sew, go to garage sales, and could cure any ailment with a home remedy. Throughout her life she was involved in the church choir and enjoyed sharing her love for song. She was also a dedicated bowler, playing in a weekly league for more years than we can count. She was a deeply spiritual woman, and some believed she had a direct line upstairs; she was always the one you called for a prayer request. She celebrated her beliefs in Catholicism at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Houston, St Helens Catholic Church in Pearland, and St Johns Catholic Church in Alvin. Her kind spirit, love of family, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her.

My condolences to the family. I have some good memories of Dot at our bowling league over the years. Prayers.
Lovely Dot was so generous, as was Ron, to welcome me into their once a month birthday celebrations even though I am just a good friend of her daughter in law, Melinda Stasky. Eternal rest grant unto her, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May God have mercy on her soul, and let perpetual light shine upon her. 🙏🏼💔✝️⛪️
