Doris Lyssy, 92, of La Marque passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, in Texas City. Doris was born August 12, 1924, in Galveston, Texas, to William and Wilhelmina Jahn. Doris, a resident of La Marque for 62 years, was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild, and Sons of Herman. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Frank Marshall Lyssy Sr., three sisters: Mildred West, Benita Heath, Evelyn Clark and one brother Theodore Jahn. She is survived by four sons: Frank M. Lyssy, Jr. of New Braunfels, Ronald F. Lyssy and wife Adrian of Texas City, Timothy Lyssy and wife Corliss of La Marque and David Lyssy of Arlington; one sister, Thelma Jahn Kaaser of La Marque; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, November 22, 2016, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, La Marque, with a Rosary at 9:30 am. Service will follow at 10:00am with Father Chacko Puthumayil officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas.
