Donald D. Stidham, Sr.
Our loss is definitely Heaven’s gain as Donald D. Stidham, Sr., age 84 stepped into eternity on August 26, 2017 and heard his Savior say “Well done thy good and faithful servant!”
Mr. Stidham had worked construction and at Monsanto for 19 years and then he and his wife opened their own business, Stidham Western World and Trailer Company in Algoa, Texas. He was a faithful member of Abundant Life Christian Center in La Marque for 31 years.
He was a father, mentor, teacher, and friend to many people throughout his life. If you ever met him, you loved him! He left a very lasting impression on every person who was fortunate to make his acquaintance.
He was a very gentle man who loved his family and friends very deeply. But most importantly, he loved the Lord Jesus Christ with every ounce of his being and made sure that everyone he met was given the opportunity to meet Jesus as well.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Shirley, of 63 years of marriage but 70 years together total; also, his son, Donald Stidham, Jr. and wife Cindy, his daughter Terri Howard and husband Ricky, grandchildren: Ashley and Jon Lee, Erin and Ben Myers, Paige and Ben Morhardt, Lainee and Jacob Carr; great-grandchildren: Brandon Lee, Shelby Lee, Alison Myers, Layla Myers, Jonah Morhardt, Hannah Morhardt, Jeremiah Morhardt and Braeden Carr; other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Ann Stidham, his parents, and his four siblings.
A Celebration of a Life well lived will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10am at Abundant Life Christian Center, 601 Delany Rd., La Marque, TX 77568. A private family burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mr. Stidham’s name to Abundant Life Christian Center’s Casa Angelina Orphanage in Guatemala.
