Dona Rowe
Dona Lynn Rowe, 52, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1971 in Texas City, Texas to parents, Richard Lee Alexander, Jr. and Jan Ellen Claybourn Alexander.
Dona is preceded in death by her father Richard Lee Alexander Jr., her grandparents Glenn and Gladys Claybourn, Iva Mae Alexander Kobayashi, Richard “Dick” Alexander and Toke Kobayashi.
She loved photography and scrapbooking. She was very artistic and would even travel around the country to give classes in how to scrapbook.
Dona loved her time in band in high school. She played drums and was so excited when they won state. She spent her college years at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.
Dona leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 15 years, Corey Rowe; daughter Gracelynn Rowe; mother Jan Alexander; sister Samy Mears and husband Aaron; niece Reagan Mears and nephew Alexander Mears and wife Lexi and special aunt Dickie Sue Fries (Aunt Soup) as well as best friend Jennifer Powell Breland and numerous friends and family.
In her honor, a memorial service will be Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas
Dona was a sweetheart and wanted.to help with school safety issues. We cherish the karate days and her sweet smiles. She was a genuine soul and loved her sweet family and Gracie so much. We are going to miss her. She helped make the world a kinder place. Rest in peace,.Dona…

Dona has been part of our family ever since my daughter, Jennifer, met her in pre-school. They had such a strong friendship and we loved Dona so much. Our hearts are broken to lose her. Corey and Gracie, you are part of our family too and we send love and prayers to you both.

We were so very sorry to hear about Dona’s passing. In addition to being a wonderful mother and wife, she was a very funny and warm hearted person. Our family will miss you sweet Dona.
