Denise Ann Drunk

Denise Ann Drunk, 68, a resident of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1956 in Galveston, Texas to parents, Norris Paul Dorsey, Jr. and Shirley Lee (Evans) Dorsey.

Denise battled Leukemia for over ten years and in July, 2024 acquired Covid and related illnesses. She fought hard and was a strong woman. Denise passed gracefully and peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Denise was a loving mother and wife. She was an amazing homemaker and caretaker. She took on the nickname of “Mimi” when she became a proud grandmother. The community, family and friends will miss her abundantly. She was the matriarch of the family and cannot be replaced. She not only cared for her own family but everyone else in the neighborhood and extended family as well.

She was proceded in death by her parents.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Markus Drunk; step-mother, Mary Lou Dorsey; daughter, Jennifer Ausmus; sons, John Guerra (Tammy) and Evan Guerra; sisters, Darlene Tinsley, Karen Schwilm and Julie Scabora ; brothers, Paul Dorsey (Vickie), Stephen Dorsey (Rennie), Craig Dorsey (Linda), Butch Scabora (Debbie), Steve Scabora (Lorraine) and Danny Scabora; grandchildren, Natalie, Olivia, Dominic and Audrey and numerous nieces and nephews.

In her honor, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in honor of Denise Drunk “Mimi”  to Natalie Wardlaw, be made to Children’s Craniofacial Association – ccakids.org
