David Wayne Miles
David Wayne Miles, a resident of Friendswood, TX passed away February 22, 2018. Mr. Miles was born June 30, 1932 in Doucette, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31). David was a Volunteer Fireman for the City of Deer Park for 19 years, and also served as a Safety Instructor at A&M Fire Safety School for several years. He was a manager for Vallen Safety Equipment prior to his retirement.
Mr. Miles is preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Elizabeth Miles; sister, Sylvia Lois Best; brothers: Buford Miles, Glen Miles and Otha Miles.
David leaves behind his wife of sixty four years, Olive Jean Miles; daughters: Linda E. Current, husband Ernie and Tina M. Jackson, husband Buddy; sons: Michael W. Miles, David A. Miles, wife Theresa and Tony A. Miles, partner Dan Johnson; brother, Theo “Cotton” Miles; sister Eleanor Hurst; grandchildren: Melissa Miles, Amanda Landry, Joshua Miles, Julia Miles, Aaron Jackson, Hallie James and Ferol Cook; ten great grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland.
