Dante Antonino Marcuccio
Dante Antonino Marcuccio, age 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Fulshear, Texas.
Dante was born in Forrest City, Arkansas, on March 6, 1964, the first son to Dante Achille and Sandra Wilene Marcuccio. He grew up with his five siblings in League City, Texas, where he attended Clear Creek High School.
Dante was a man of many talents and passions. More importantly, he was a man who, through his infectious humor, unwavering loyalty, untold generosity, and deep convictions, touched so very many lives in so many ways.
A dreamer at heart, Dante was constantly ensconced in whatever happened to be his latest passion project. From an early age, he adored music, and was a talented guitarist and singer.
He played piano and banjo as well, and even had a piano tuning business for many years. Other creative endeavors included art and photography, and realizing his vision was a constant goal. This inclination later led to many home-improvement projects, including the creation of “the perfect studio” three different times.
Professionally, Dante was an idea man. Although he was always working on a new business concept or plan, he was never afraid of failure. His 30+ years in software development, and self-made success through multiple companies of his own creation are testaments to his talent, instincts, and determination.
At home, Dante was a devoted husband and loving father who doted on his four children and was tremendously proud of how they each grew into happy and successful adulthood. Friends and family knew him as someone they could always talk to about anything. He was exceedingly generous with his time and was always ready to share his hard-earned wisdom and love for God. In fact, his faith, relationship with God, and devotion to Jesus and scripture were the most important aspects of Dante’s life.
In the end, Dante felt very fulfilled with his life and often spoke of how he did everything he wanted, saying “My job here is done.”
Dante was preceded in death by his father.
Dante is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary; his children, Matthew (Elyssa Shrader), Laura (Stephen Jimenez), Michael, and Evan (Kristin Ray); his mother, Willie; his siblings, Kelly (Gary) Middlebrooks, Nick (Michele), Angela, Sam, and Cassie (Jeffry) Jones; and 15 nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 1pm – 2pm, Friday, March 11, 2022 with a memorial service following at 2pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573. A burial will follow the service at Forest Park East, Webster, Texas.

Deepest sympathy for the entire family on this huge loss. Theresa. Blume schnitzler
You were a good friend for a lot of years. I’ll miss the lunches, I’ll miss your half-crazy stories, and I’ll miss our long phone conversations swapping notes on everything from sports, to politics, to movies, to food and hobbies, and to life in general. You always had a unique way of looking at the world, and I was always fascinated to hear about it. I know you were not afraid of the possibility of death, and even embraced what you felt would be the next adventure for you. Rest easy my friend, and know that you will be missed.
I was very blessed to know Dante as man of obediebce and faith to the lord Jesus. That was his main passion and preaching the gospel and to teach others through a very intense continual study of the word. He wanted live by the red letters, the words Jesus preached. He especially liked to center on love your enemy, forgive, not slander, and not hate. Nearly every conversation may start out with talking about software , music or a new business venture into a full sermon. To me he was a preacher who did not have a church building. We joked that each time we got into a discussion it was the “Church of the Paper Airplane”. Where he would preach and woild be making paper airplanes behind the back row. The joke was I would try to throw the paper airplanes at him while he preaching a sermon. The was so he would get to serious. We always told jokes to each other and laughed a lot. I met him and Bruce Tensor at Living Stones Church after I got out of the Navy around 1986. We played guitar together back then. I helped him start his piano tuning business and computer repair and helped him rebuild pianos. We both developers, were software architects and shared our trade with each other over many years. In the very beginning I intoduced Dante and Mary for better or worse. I gad at tge time lived next door to Mary with my ex-wife Brittany. We invited them over to dinner so they could meet. Dante also go me my first really goid jib at NASA. They had offered the job to Dante and he truned it down and told them to hire me instead.
My deepest condolences to you all, especially Mary and the children. God speed Tony.
Deepest sympathy from the DeFoore family. He was our brother, and we loved him deeply.
Prayers for the entire Marcuccio family. We have wonderful memories of family ski trips and times spent with our children when they were young. Dante was known for his amazing man cave, his faith in God, his bright smile and his love for his family. He will be dearly missed. Prayers for the peace that surpasses all understanding for his children and family.
Our heartfelt condolences,
Charlene, David and Jennifer
Even though I’ve only known Dante for a few months, I feel we had a close friendship almost instantly. What started out talking about guitar’s and music equipment, quickly changed and turned to talks about God, his love for God, and whatever may be God’s plan for him. His thoughts and talks we had touched my heart.
My deepest condolences to the Marcuccio family. I built him many guitars and he was a great pleasure to work with and fun to talk to.
I had the privilege of getting to know Dante back when he was turning his garage into a studio and we helped him with his ac and ventilation. He always knew what he wanted and was very particular as he had always done his research and this made things easier for us (for the most part lol). Dante had the kind of character that you knew he was a christian without him having to tell you. Our prayers are with family from our family at Strong Tower A/C.
Mary, I am so sorry. I know he was at peace and is in a better place but your and your kids loss is so very real and I am praying for you all.
I was privileged to work with Dante on a couple of software projects extending over many months. Always kind, always hard-working and smart, Dante was a great colleague. I’m really going to miss having a good long conversation with him, whether about work or whatever was going on in our lives! I feel for the family in a time of great loss, and wish you all well. It’s the world’s loss, too – a truly decent man, good to his family and a good friend. May he rest easy.
