Daniel Kennedy Gundermann, 53 of Texas City passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas. He was born February 5, 1961 in Texas City, Texas to Donald and Janey Gundermann.
Daniel was a member of St. George Episcopal Church of Texas City and of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Worker’s IAM; he worked for Carbide and Dow Chemical in Texas City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janey Gundermann; son Henry Gundermann, and brother, Ronnie Gundermann.
He is survived by his father, Donald Gundermann; wife of 30 years, Tracy Gundermann, daughter Kristen Gundermann, step-daughter Amber Starr, son Donald Gundermann; sisters Patricia Hernandez, Cathy Gundermann, Janey Fattig and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. George
Episcopal Church in Texas City with Rev. Robin Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. A Pot-Luck reception will follow after the burial at the church.
Pallbearers will be Chase Cronkwright, Wayne Gundermann, Zachary Fattig, Shawn McLaren, Daryl McLaren and Alfonso Guillen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Bankston and Mike Nolan.
FRC’S and Steel-Toes are welcome at the Visitation.
