Coy Ray Robinson
Coy Ray Robinson, 83, resident of Dickinson, Texas passed from this life surrounded by his family, Wednesday, December 14, 2017. Coy was born July 25, 1934, to proud parents Entis and Exa Robinson in Alba, Texas.
Coy AKA: “the Tomato Man” by local Dickinsonians was a proud veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was a business owner of Robinson’s Produce “fruit stand” and partner for 21 years in service stations and White’s Home and Auto with his brother Joe.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Nellie Maxine Rackley Robinson.
Coy leaves behind to cherish his memory four daughters, Joyce Wright and husband Brian, Danah Sowell and husband Steven, Dee Robinson-Hartwick and husband Don, and Mary Adams and husband Richard; brother Joe Robinson and wife Nancy; sister-in-law Beth McKenzie and family; like a son, Casey Warhurst and family; like a daughter Helen Rigby and family; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In his honor a visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2017, at Crowder Funeral Chapel, with a rosary at 7:00 pm, at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, League City, TX. Interment follows at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, in Dickinson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Fisher House or Lone Survivor.
