Clyde Edward Jones passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 in League City, Texas at the age of 83.  He was born on November 17, 1934 in Washington, DC to Clyde Ambrose (Jack) Jones and Ethel Helen Scott Jones.  Clyde is survived by his loving wife Jewel, sister Sheila Crossley and husband Mike, granddaughter Stephanie Scruggs and partner Anne Miller, great-grandchildren Xander and Grayson of Carrollton, Texas, grandson Stephen Scruggs and wife Jennifer, great-grandchildren Lance, Makenzie, Riley, Caden and Braylon of Omaha, Nebraska.  He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters Judy Flanagan and Diane Thoren of League City.  Clyde proudly began his military career in 1953, serving in Korea with United States Marines.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1958, serving in Europe and Vietnam.  During his tenure Clyde received a Bronze Star.   He retired from the Air Force in 1980 as a Chief Master Sergeant.   Family visitation at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 E. Main St, League City, will start at 10AM on April 9, 2018.  A Grave Side Ceremony will be held at 12:45PM on April 9, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
