Cleta B. Powers, 80, longtime resident of Dickinson, Texas passed away February 13, 2015 in Galveston, Texas. She was born February 22, 1934 in Norman, Oklahoma to parents Hershell G. Kelley and Hazel F. Kelley. She was employed by the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers from 1969 -2004.
Cleta enjoyed Genealogy, reading magazines and books, was a fan of the Houston Oilers, Texans, and Astros She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1957.
She is preceded in death by her husband Randall Powers; sons, Randall Powers Jr., and Wayne Powers; parents Hershell and Hazel Kelley.
Cleta is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Davenport and husband
David of Mead, OK, Rita F Powers of Dickinson, TX. Grandchildren Robert Lee Trammell Jr. and wife Antonia of Durant, OK, Sara Seigfried of Mead, OK; and Great Grandchildren Ashley, Timmi, and Shannon Seigfried, and Piper Trammell.
Visitation will be held Monday February 16, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at
Crowder Funeral Home Chapel Dickinson, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 17, 2015 at 11:30 am
at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson.
