Claryce Severance, a long-time resident of Houston and Fort Worth, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2016 at age 87, surrounded with love by her son Mark and daughter-in-law Barbara. She was preceded in death by her parents Clemmon and Clara Teacle, brothers Charles and Clarence Teacle and the love of her life and husband of 51 years Charles T. “Tom” Severance. She is survived by Mark & Barbara Severance of League City, Texas sisters-in-law Merle Teacle of Houston, Lorene Kohut of Smithville, Texas and Cathy Byrd and her husband Robert of Lake City, Florida, her lifelong buddy Henrietta Jordan of Houston, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as extended family members in both Houston and Fort Worth.  She will be remembered and missed as a kind hearted spirit with great love for her family and friends.  At her request, a funeral service is not planned.  She can be best memorialized by remembering her during some quite time in the backyard on a sunny day, with a nice meal and a toast or perhaps a leisurely round of golf, a passion which she shared with her Tommy throughout their lives together.  At Mark & Barbara’s request, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) in memory of her and Tom.
