Christy Brookover, Jr., 73, of San Leon, Texas, passed away on June the 5th, 2021 due to heart complications.

Christy was born on October 12th, 1947 to Christy and Hazel Brookover in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from Jessie H. Jones High School in 1966, he started his career in the United States Air Force for 31 years. In 1965, he met Jane, and they wed in Bossier City, Louisiana, in 1967 going on to have two children, Charlotte Kristine and Christy Douglas.

Christy was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them.

Christy was also a passionate mechanic and angler and could often be found in the garage or on the water. Anyone who knew Christy knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.

He is survived by his wife Jane, children Charlotte and Douglas. brother Steven and his
wife Marsha and children Tara, Steven and Jamie, grandchildren Lindsay, Kayla and her wife Shelby, Tanner and his grandchildren Lucas, Tinsley and Paisleigh.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 1210 Edwards Dr., San Leon, Texas. There will be a celebration dinner at Esteban’s Cafe y Cantina from Noon to 4pm today at 402 West Main Street A, League City, Texas.
