Christopher Sanford Adams
Christopher Sanford Adams, 67, surrounded by his loving family, passed away January 24, 2023, in Houston, TX. A longtime resident of Friendswood, TX, Chris was born in Niskayuna, NY on February 12, 1955. He graduated from Hudson College in New York. He was a lifelong motorcycle aficionado and after graduation he traveled by motorcycle on a cross-country adventure with several friends to the pacific coast in California. He then came to Houston to work and never left. He was a Quality Control Inspector & manager for over 40 years for Hughes Tool, Baker Oil Tools, and American Gear and Supply. Chris spent six months in China helping with the setup of an oil tool plant in the 1980’s and brought home his many international experiences. Chris was valued for and known for his strict attention to detail as differences as small as one-thousandth of an inch could mean the difference between a functioning part and a defect.
Chris loved his family and had many beloved dogs over the years. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred, and Elisabeth Adams, and brother John Adams, and his wife Gail.
He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Geane Stevenson; daughter, Savannah Andersson, and her husband Niklas; son, Loren Stevenson, and his wife Jenny; grandchildren: Jennice Hernandez, Isaac Portillo, Xavier Stevenson, David Stevenson, and Cecelia “Cece” Andersson; sister, Barbara Bockrath, and her husband Brad; brother in law, Robert Crotts, and his wife Vickie; sister in laws: Kathleen Durham, and her husband Bruce Keithley, Cara Friend, Lisa McBean, and her husband Brian, and Michelle Hopkins, and her husband Ric, as well as cousins, Sue Curtis and Jim Curtis, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service Friday, January 27, 2023 at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Family will receive friends at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Pasadena Animal Shelter 5150 Burke Road, Pasadena, TX 281-991-0602
