Cheryl and I shared business experiences were both difficult and sometimes a bit humorous. We relied on her during the tough times and enjoyed her warmth and sincere motivation. The world lost one its best and many of us lost a dear friend that always stood tall. Smart will always be HATCU deep down to Cheryl and to me.
RIP ole friend. Bob Rogers

My deepest sympathy to the Davis family. My heart goes out to you. When going through the loss of my father, a scripture that brought me comfort is Isa. 41:10. There God implores us to not be anxious because he is with us and lovingly assures us ” I will really hold on to you with my right hand.” May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time. ( 2 Cor. 1:3,4)
I met Cheryl when I was 15 yrs old when she & my sister, Jill, became roommates. They were both 18 & working at HATCU. I spent part of the summer with them & we became instant friends. Then when I was 26, I went to work at HATCU & worked with Cheryl for several years. We’ve remained friends all these years. She will leave a void in every person’s life that she touched. You were lucky to call her a friend.
My Thoughts and prayers go out to this special family. Love you Fred, Stacy and Casey, Cheryl was a very special person to me and my family.
So very sorry for the loss of your precious wife of many years Freddie. My condolences to you and your family. RIP Cheryl

Sincere condolences go out to the family. Please find comfort and hope in the guarantee that soon death will be no more (Rev. 21: 3, 4) and the exciting promise that those we have lost will be reunited with us again (Acts 24:15 & Psalms 37:29).
My condolences to the Davis family and friends.
I love and will miss you Cheryl! Much love to Freddy, Casey, and Stacey!
To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to do and see.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it’s time I travel alone.
So grieve awhile, if grieve you must
Then, let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for awhile that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on.
So, if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near
And if you listen with your heart,
You’ll hear all my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say, Welcome Home!
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Cheryl over the years in a business relationship in the credit union world. She was a great business person and always represented HATCU as an honest and upfront person. Her personality could also make you feel like a friend while working with her as a business acquaintance over these many years.
RIP

I first met Cheryl when we both worked at the Houston Area Teacher’s Credit Union on Gray Street, Houston and continued to know and work with her for 14 years. But, our friendship continued through out the years. She was a person of high integrity and humility. The world will miss her, as will I. Rest in peace my friend.
Rest well my friend! Your smile and laughter will be missed. May God’s peace be with Freddie and all the family.
