Cheryl Anne Bricker

Cheryl Anne Bricker, 53 of Alvin, Texas passed away on March 19, 2022. Cheryl was born February 20, 1969 to Thomas E. Reynolds and Carrie (Davis) Reynolds.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Thomas E. and Carrie Reynolds; son, Austin Bricker; brother, Thomas Brett Reytnolds and wife, Anissa and sisters, Kimberly Reynolds and Krystal Reynolds.

Cheryl earned her Associates Degree at San Jacinto College and went on to study elementary education at the University of Houston — Clear Lake. At Macy’s, she worked her way up to department manager as a loyal and dedicated employee (and lover of fashion and accessories), showing a knack for kind and patient leadership. She went on to spend eight years at Community Management Solutions, where homeowners and board members learned to look forward to her bright smile and friendly tone.

Wherever Cheryl went, she made friends. She sparked conversations with strangers, showing kindness and respect to everyone, enticing smiles from the crankiest of gas station employees and brightening days with a joke, a compliment or finding something in common. In addition to a large and close-knit family, she leaves behind countless friends, both short-term and lifelong, who will miss her sunny presence, sense of humor, loyalty, understanding and un-matched generosity.

Through it all, motherhood was always Cheryl’s dream and her greatest accomplishment. With presence and intention, she worked hard to provide unconditional love, compassion and fun for Austin, making games out of chores, singing along to favorite songs, carting around groups of friends and more while providing support, stability and a safe space for learning and mistakes. Ultimately, she raised a loving, loyal, respectful and intelligent son to continue her legacy.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held in the Crowder Funeral Home parlor after the service.

  1. Cheryl will be truly missed. She was everything described, very warm, friendly and patient. I knew her for a short time, 1-1/2 years. I didn’t work with her only in the building, a stranger. She reached out and started conversing with me, made me feel comfortable and that is how it began. She was truly loved by many and touched the hearts of everyone she met. God called home a true angel. Many prayers for the family and friends.

  4. She was my sweet precious baby girl. I fell in love with her at hospital the first time i laid eyes on her. Every day I was off work I drove to Pasadena to get her to come to our house (when Tommy and Carrie would let me). She was the sweetest child growing up. When she became an adult, she still had that same sweet personality. She was a very caring person and had no enemies. She saw the good in everyone she met. She loved her family and we all loved her. We are al going to miss her. Our lives will never be the same without her.

  5. Cheryl and I became close friends in high school. I’m not sure when or how, maybe a class together? She would have remembered. However it happened, I made a life long friend. We grew even closer as we became moms. We shared the joys and the tears of motherhood together. Even though our children are grown now, and we didn’t see each other or even talk as much, when we did reconnect it was as if no time had passed. I love her like a sister. She is one of the brightest lights in my life. I will miss our catch up calls. I will miss her sweet voice and sparkly eyes. My condolences are with her family. I hope they find peace in the midst of their unimaginable grief.
