Catherine Mercedes Palmer
Catherine Mercedes Palmer, 60, a resident of Texas for 37 years, passed away on April 15, 2021 in Seabrook, TX. Catherine was born in Chicago, IL on May 22, 1960 to Robert and Naomi Garcia. She worked as a Social worker for 17 years and was of the Catholic faith.
Catherine is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Allen Palmer; parents: sister, Ann Marie Grenell; brothers Robert Garcia, and James Garcia.
Catherine leaves behind her husband, Robert Barfield; daughter, Lauren Warren, husband Joseph; step daughter, Christi Barfield; son, Jason Palmer, step sons: Dustin Barfield, Daniel Barfield, and Thomas Barfield; grandson Theodore Warren.
Visitation will be Friday, April 23, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, TX.
Pallbearers will be, Jason Palmer, Rob Barfield, Joseph Warren, Robert Garcia, Brandon Garcia, and Betsy Herlihy.
I am so sorry to hear the sad news of Cathy’s passing. My condolences and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Cathy’s family. She was a bright star for her kids Jason and Lauren, and a wonderful mom. May happy memories comfort you during this difficult time

Bill and I want you to know how very sorry we are for your loss. We only had the pleasure of meeting Cathy once in 2019 when she so graciously hosted a group of people most of which she had never met. She was so warm and welcoming and made all of us feel at home. Our prayers are with you and your family.
I was so sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing. She was a warm lovely person. I enjoyed her company on many surveys. Her kindness and laughter will be remembered.

Beautiful Service !!! I am so sorry. Cathy had a beautiful spirit and love for her family . She always talked of the joy she wanted for her family to feel !! She was a wonderful person and so excited to be a Grandmother! Everyone that knew Cathy was truly blessed !! Love and prayers to all of you !
