Carrie Marquardt
Carrie Lynn Marquardt unexpectedly departed this earth and went to be with our Lord the morning of May 2, 2020 at the age of 52. She was the daughter of Kitty Marquardt of Bacliff, Texas.
Carrie was born in Petoskey, Michigan on July 30, 1967. Raised in League City, she attended Clear Creek High School and was a longtime resident of Spring Branch. She enjoyed anything outdoors and loved spending time on the water. Her passions included her family, animals (especially dogs) and gardening. She will be fondly remembered for her kind, sweet, gentle soul by all who knew her. Carrie will be missed.
She is survived by her mother Kitty Marquardt, siblings Kelly Marquardt Casey and her husband Rusty, Rand Marquardt, Kristi Marquardt, her beloved niece Dharma Raye Casey, aunts and uncles Rick and Nancy Grunch, Jerry and Amy Russell, Bill and Daria Shearer and Den Marquardt. Carrie was preceded in death by her father, John Otto Marquardt and grandparents Otto and Hilda Marquardt and Keith and Lois Carey. She is also mourned by special friend Curtis Wright and as well as many others including Jim Livingston, Ginia Wray Wright, Kim Baird, Lara Stephens, Missy Carroll, Rebekah Owen, Lisa Milstein, Deborah Ham, Joel Taylor, Troy Gibbs, Margo Hoague, Tamsen Jessup, Lena Alford, Mara Engelman and the Button family.
Services are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to The Health and Wellness Committee at Webster Presbyterian Church, 201E, NASA Road One, Webster, Texas 77598.
Carrie will be sorely missed by all friends and family in Northern Michigan. We all loved her so much and knew she did the same to all of us. I love you, Care-bear and always will. ❤
My Dearest Carrie I will never forget the times we shared. You were at the bar when I lost my Mom, and it was you that kept me glued together. I remember the last time you called me in Europe. I really felt blessed to hear voice after a few years.
I wish we could have had a more lengthy exchange, to see how you had been, were you happy, and still the ‘bell of the ball’. There is such a vacuum of thoughts after learning of your graduation to the highest light.
Eternal love and affection…Barry

Kitty
I am sending a big virtual hug. This is so sad. You have my deepest sympathy.
Tears are still flowing. Carrie was the daughter I never had. She was so precious and Joe Paul and I loved her so much. Will miss her sweetness she shared with us particularly, but for everyone.
From GINIA Wray and Joe Paul ,we dearly loved Carrie. She was a neat, caring lady. Will miss her smile and calls. So sorry Kitty, losing a child is a tough road to have to take . Our love
I would like to say how truly sorry I am to Kitty and Kelly, and the rest of Carrie’s family, and of course, Curtis, Kim, and Lara!!! Carrier’s sudden passing has stunned and saddened all of us tremendously. We lost part of our ‘’Girl Gang’’ last Saturday morning. God decided he needed her back more then he needed her here. Our very long friendship started back when we were just in 7th grade, been together through the years, together in some of our weddings, etc….Our chain is forever broken and our lives are forever changed! As God calls us back one by one the chain will link again!!! See you my sweet girlfriend one day when the times comes. Until then, know you are so loved and will never be forgotten! May God Bless Carries’s family in this difficult time. I pray for her family to find peace and compfort eventually as times passes on….. Take flight my sweet love , shine bright!!!!!
To my beautiful cousin Kitty,
You have constantly been on my mind since I heard the very sad news about Carrie. Your loss is great and I am deeply sorry. Words fail us at times like these because no matter what is said, grief is a lonely journey as our children are a gift and a legacy and that makes the sorrow of Carrie’s passing uniquely your own. I join the Carey clan in loving you and praying for you during this time. Hope to see you this summer in Charlevoix the Beautiful but if not, know deep in your heart the love and compassion that is yours.
Dear Kitty,
I’m am so sorry my Dear. Sending thoughts and prayers your way. She was such a sweet person to me when I needed someone to be.
