Carolyn Louise Burus
Carolyn Louise Burus, 82, a resident of Texas City, TX formerly of Galveston, TX, passed away March 6, 2023 in La Marque, TX. Carolyn was born April 15, 1940 in Lexington, KY. She was a Registered Nurse and Nurse Administrator for 40 years in Galveston at numerous Hospitals and Nursing Homes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edith Rodgers; brothers: Barry Rodgers, and Edward “Butch” Rodgers.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memories, husband of 53 years, Raymond Burus; daughters: Jaqueline Eaton, and Becky Hitchcock; sons: Stephen Eaton, and Mathew Burus, wife Lisa; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Patty Rion, husband Stan; brothers: Tony Coleman, wife Charlene, and Bill Rodgers, wife Barb.
I love you mom, and I will be back by your side one day!! Please watch over me and Dad until we get back to you.
Carolyn “Sissy””, OH the times we had. I hope you have felt my love since we were so far apart. It will never go away and until we meet again I’ll always cherish it all. I love you sis.
Carolyn, Even though we have not spoke for sometime Your passing is a big slap, I really do love you very much. Thank you for raising Matthew and doing such a good job. I am really sorry for me being such a jerk. I know you are in a better place, I hope you see Mom, Dad and Barry.
