Carolyn Elizabeth Lognion Scott, 80 of Pearland, TX passed away on February 9, 2022.  She was born to the late Bobbie and Elizabeth Lognion on March 30, 1941 in Houston, Texas.  Carolyn graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1959 and earned a BA in Speech –Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Houston.

She was a special education teacher for Pasadena ISD and retired from Dallas ISD after a long teaching career.  She married the late Grady H Scott in 1982 and they were married 36 years, living in Grand Prairie, TX until his death in 2018.  She and Grady loved to travel and visited many countries together.   She loved her family, her beloved pups and most especially, she loved to laugh!   She is survived by a son, Trey Smith and wife Gayle of Pearland, TX; 3 step daughters, Debbie Massey and husband Doug of Spring, TX, Kelly Ostergrant and husband Andy of Murfreesboro, TN , and Terri Bledsoe and husband Teague of Dickenson, TX.  Carolyn also leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren, in addition to her brother Lawrence Lognion of Houston, TX.  A private remembrance for family is being planned.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter in her name.
