  1. I met Carl back in 1996 when I applied to work for McRee Ford. I always liked his attitude because he seemed easy going and I was always comfortable with talking to him. We always got along through the 21 years that I worked there. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his precious wife and family. I pray God’s comfort and strength be with them during this difficult time.

  2. Carl has left a permanent mark on the lives of the employees and guests at McRee. He was the embodiment of the core values that we strive to live by: Honesty, Integrity, Trust, Teamwork and especially Love. We’ll miss Carl but work hard everyday to instill a little bit of what he taught us about relationships into our own lives. He was truly one of a kind.

    • I’m deeply saddened by the loss of Carl, i met Carl some 25 plus years ago as just a vender for him and his Team McRee Ford Family. Such a fine man, a very loyal man at that. Carl had become not just a great customer but a mentor to me as well. Carl was the real deal, always cheerful and you could always count on him to be a man of his word. He will be missed dearly. I’m praying for the family and i would like to express my most sincere condolences to them as well. Rest in peace brother.

  6. I don’t even know where to start except to say it is happy and sad at the same time to hear this news. Happy because I know that he is in Heaven with my dad and yet sad for Nancy who will miss his presence in her life and those of his kids and grandkids. Carl, I want to thank you for all the times that you were there to have those great father/daughter talks on slow days at work or evenings when I would stay late or come by when I no longer worked at McRee. You filled a void I had and helped me see things I couldn’t when it came to parenting my kids, especially that stubborn girl. It was my pleasure to give you the daughter perspective when you had tough times with your daughter and those precious little granddaughters that were your world. God knew what he was doing when He not only put me at McRee, but put my office next to yours. I was very sad when my office moved, not just because we were in that file room, but because I knew it meant many of our conversations might end. Yesterday you got the best father advice of all from our Heavenly Father. Thank you Nancy for giving us all Carl for the many long hours he was at work not just selling cars, but guiding so many younger people in life’s trials and challenges along the way. He will be greatly missed.

  8. Nancy, Melissa and family,

I cannot begin to tell you what a shock it is to hear of Carl’s passing. Our daughters, Melissa and Jessica grew up together and I purchased two new vehicles, with Carl as my representative.

My heart aches for you and know I have always loved you💔

  10. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Carl’s passing. We never met in person, but we spoke weekly over the phone for years. I work for Thompson Performance Solutions and manage McRee’s New Vehicle Inventory. Carl was one of the few people I still talked to in this job after 19 years. Everyone else emails, but not Carl. He always called and was always cheerful. I don’t remember a single time he wasn’t. He showed genuine interest in my life and family. In fact, my kids even knew who Carl was. He would sometimes call while I was in the car picking them up from school. He was kind and thoughtful, and I’m sure he touched many lives with his goodness. I know he did mine. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Nancy Lynn, and his children, Melissa, Carl, and Brian. He spoke fondly of his family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I’m praying for you in the coming days and weeks.

  11. We are heartbroken to hear of Carls passing. We loved working with him as customers of McRee over the years. Praying for all those blessed to know him and love him. We had no idea he had been with McRee 35 years but not surprised – he was dedicated to his customers and the McRee family.

  14. I will definitely miss you my friend and will never forget your kindness and your good humor. Ever since I started painting y’all’s advertising on your car windows you’re usually the first person I see. You treated Mcree Ford like it was your own business. I’m going to miss talking about old TV programs with you because you remembered all of them. My heart goes out to your entire family and team at Mcree Ford, and may your memory be a blessing. RIP my friend
