Carl David Mott, 80 of Santa Fe passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Houston, Texas.  He was born on June 16, 1943 in Edgerly, Louisiana to Luther Mott and Aletha Abshire.

Carl was a Roofer and he loved country music and sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons; Carl Mott, Jr., Ricky Mott and Roger Mott, great-granddaughter Sophia Mott, sister Jean Smith, and brother Gary Abshire.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Mott; son Robbie Mott, Sr. (Brenda); daughter Debra Anderson (Bobby); eleven grandchildren: Lyndsay Mott, Steven Mott, Robbie Mott, Jr., Brandon Mott, David Mott, Jonathan Mott, Samantha Mott, Victoria Mott, Chase Mott, Taylor Anderson and Braydon Anderson and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to especially thank Gary Gray for taking caring of Carl.

A visitation will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10:00am-12Noon at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with the service at 12Noon.  Burial will follow at the La Marque City Cemetery.
