Bruce Llewellyn Watkins, 75 of Hitchcock passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born on June 21, 1948 to Luel Tresmer Watkins and Nettie Lee LaCaze in Lafayette, Louisiana.

He was formerly from Hitchcock and had been a resident of La Marque since 1963.  Bruce retired from Texas Department of Criminal Justice and was a Civil Process Server for 24 years. He was a longtime employee of Landry’s Prime Seafood and Steaks Restaurant in Galveston.

He is preceded in death by his parents,  the grandmother who helped raise him, Lola Beeson LaCaze, favorite uncle, A.J. Lacaze and honorary nephew Jarryd Wayne Lim.

He was survived by numerous friends.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  A graveside service will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas with Dr. Terry Ray officiating.
