Blake Aaron Wier
Blake Aaron Wier, age 29, of Palestine, Texas, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, in Pineville, Louisiana.
Blake was born May 1, 1992, in Galveston to Dennis Wier and Darcy Hasselmeier Wier. He grew up in Texas City and attended school there. He earned an Associate’s Degree in sociology from Trinity Valley Community College. He was a loving father, son, brother and grandson and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy June Wier, Gary Hasselmeier and Mary Darlene Hasselmaier.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Wier of Crockett; parents, Dennis Wier of Florida and Darcy Hasselmeier of Santa Fe; step-mother, Kristin Morace of Pineville; sisters, Amber Weiser of Texas City and Shaylee Wier of Pineville; grandfather, Thomas Wier; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Crowder Chapel with James Babs officiating. Blake’s uncle Robert Pilkington will read a poem he wrote about Blake. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
