Billie Dorcille Thornton, 72, resident of San Leon, Texas, passed away February 1, 2014. She was born June 12, 1941 in Abilene, Texas to parents, Ray and Gladys Chittum.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Kristi Bump; sons, Jeff Thornton and wife Laura, James Greg Thornton, and Mark Yarborough and wife Esther; sisters, Joan Tedin and husband Bobby, and Patsy Snodgrass; brothers, Ray Chittum Jr. and wife Judy, Larry Chittum and wife Karen; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson with interment following at San Leon Cemetery in San Leon, Texas.
