Betty Jean Thompson was born in Blue Mountain, AL on January 3, 1938. She married her first husband, Glen, and had one son, Glenn Christopher (Chris) Kendrick, whom she loved dearly. Chris’s son, Travis, has lived with Betty and Ron since 1993. Betty was a beautiful Southern Belle with long dark hair and an Alabama drawl. Her favorite endearing term for others was “Hon”, short for Honey. A mutual friend and NASA co-worker, Linda Lewallen, introduced Betty and Ron to each other in 1985. Betty and Ron married in 1990. She passed away at home after an eight-month illness.
Betty Boop was a true treasure that will be dearly missed!

Thanks, Maureen. She will be missed by all that knew her.
My thoughts and prayers go to Ron and the family. Betty and I worked together in the 80’s, she was such a pretty and sweet person. She always could make me laugh. She introduced me to some of the singles back in the day. I am so sorry for your loss. I just heard about her passing today or I would have gone to her Memorial Service.
Thanks, Glenda. Betty enjoyed her social life and her friends.
I worked with Betty at the print plant in the late 70’s early 80’s. She was so funny. I would have gone to her service had I know about it. Ron, I am so sorry for your loss.
