Betty (Ivey) Plybon
Betty (Ivey) Plybon a resident of Spring, TX for the past 15 years gained her angel wings June 22, 2020 at 86 years old. She worked for the past 12 years at Walmart in Spring (Kuykendahl and 2920).
She was married to Melvin Ivey for 37 years who preceded her in death in 1990. She remarried Paul Plybon who preceded her in death in 1997.
Born and raised in Brownsville, TX to A.V. and Bertha Gregory who preceded her in death in 1972 & 1998; one sister, Ruby Gregory from Alabama; one brother, Alva Gregory from Brownsville.
She enjoyed playing the slot machines, eating with friends at Denny’s, she was an avid frog collector with over 1000. And she loved Alan Jackson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Baggett from Pasadena, TX and Cindy (Jeff) Foree from Rosharon, TX; four grand kids; twelve great grand kids; two great great grand kids. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Lewis and one brother, Robert Gregory both from Brownsville, TX.
There will be a service on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
My grandma was such an amazing person. I am going to miss her so much. I will always remember me trying to teach her how to say spaghetti. I love you grandma and I’m going to miss you so much and I will always love you
Mama I am going to miss you we had plans but I know your with daddy and I know one day I will get to see you again. Alan Jackson will never sound the same without you. I love you mama to the moon and back.
Grandma Betty I loved you so much . I loved working with you at Arbys . You always keep the Arbys store so clean when you worked . I will never forget you and I’m glad that I had a grandma like you . Until we meet again . Big love & hugs from me .

Betty was always good humored, civil, and friendly. So easy going with a warm, sweet personality. A hard worker, worked until she died. A great role model for us all. She stayed technology informed, and liked to send messages through messenger.
She will be greatly missed!

I will always cherish the memories of Aunt Betty…Aunt Betty, Uncle Jr, Aunt Mary and Uncle Robert made several annual visits to Alabama to visit my mom, Ruby, and us. I have lots of pictures from those visits.
