Praying for you all. Our family knew Gregoria and all her family when we helped out at Benito’s Mexican Restaurant in La Marque back in the 70s. We loved them all. From all the Garcia family, Hitchcock, Texas, please accept our condolences.
I am deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Ben. I know he meant the world to you and so many others. Having Ben’s friendship meant so much to me. I will hold the memories we shared together close to my heart. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences.
We are heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend, Ben. Ben was a true friend, always there for us. We love and will miss him. We pray and send love for our beautiful Hernandez family. Heaven has a new angel.
Ben and I met in 1967 in the 8th grade. We played football together. I played QB and Ben played running back. On the first play of our first game, I called Ben’s number and he made a nice run. It was early in the process of public school integration. He was Hispanic and I was Black. Ben and I never had a problem getting along. I remember him being a very kind and gentle person. His mother was also kind to me. She gave me a ride home when normally, I would have walked. I never will forget that kindness. I remember Ben was an excellent student, so his resume’ does not surprise me one bit. I knew he would do well. I last saw him when we graduated from LMHS in 1972. It is good to know that he is a fellow military veteran. I am retired U.S. Air Force. My condolences to his family on their loss. I will keep you in my prayers. May God rest the soul of this very kind human being. James Griffin, Fairfax, VA.
I am so sorry to hear of Ben’s passing. He was a very lively and upbeat person. Working with Ben, JR, Ursala, and Krystal on the CenterPoint AIA program made me realize how beautiful the Hernandez family is and how close they all are. May this closeness provide comfort to all of you at this difficult time.
As a little boy, I lived with Gregoria & Benito Sr., Ben’s Parents, My Grandparents, and Ben, who was more than an uncle, he was like a brother and a role model. I was always emulated by him and I strongly admired him, He was a leader of all situations: a true loving Father; an excellent decorated and brave, Vietnam Marine Veteran; a highly educated Engineer, a successful intriguing business-man, and a Dear Uncle. He was a sincere person everyone should want to be like.
Ben: May heaven receive you in joy, love, and happiness. You deserve no less. I will miss you. I wish I would have spent more time with you. Heaven is lucky.

My deepest condolences to the Hernandez family. I knew Ben both professionally and as a friend for over 20 years and also some of his sweet family members. He was a pillar of our community; a great man who will be missed for many years to come. My good friend will be missed.
Warmest regards to the family.
Uncle Ben received the final gift of grace fromt the Lord, to be near Him forever.
Such a lovely gift from God!
Uncle Ben, I have not gotten acquainted much with you and your family. The amazing stories told and heard, coming from my son, Arjay, Rosemary, Andy and the rest of Hernandes siblings seemed I knew more about you … your loving and gentle personality. How about my recollection of you ? Well, not until Arjay sent me of a picture of me with U Ben and Auntie Rosie. I tried to reminisce the encounter and it did come into my mind tho’ kind of blurry. I am glad to see that picture, as it gives pleasant memories of the two of them.
Please accept my sincere condolence to the immediate family and the Hernandez siblings.
My love to all,
Day Bariso Visaya
