Beatriz “Betty” Mercedes Di Giorgio
Beatriz “Betty” Mercedes Di Giorgio, of Houston, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 in Houston at the age of 79. She was born on October 25, 1944 in Buenos Aries, Argentina to Oscar and Agueda Sedfany.
Betty took great joy in gardening, cooking, and her family. Her huge smile and sweet spirit shown through her small stature.
Betty was preceded in death by her son Sergio Di Giorgio. She is survived by her daughter Carina Di Giorgio Shannon and husband Michael, sisters Rosita Palermo and Susana Sedfany and many other loving family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10503 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77042.
Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Ave, Houston, Texas 77007.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America http://www.dementiasociety.org or the American Cancer Society http://www.cancer.org
Betty was a special lady with a kind heart. She was my neighbor for many years and we will miss her immensely. May God speed you to your everlasting life in our Lord and Savior’s beautiful heaven.
