Barbara Ann Reed, of League City, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in League City, Texas at the age of 85. She was born on January 28, 1938 in Fort Bend County, Texas to Wilhelm Otto Walter and Vlasta Agnes Ludwig.

She raised her family then went to work as a dental assistant for over 10 years. After retiring, she loved exploring the United States with her husband, William Reed, in their RV. As a devout member of Sagemont Church, she developed many lifelong friendships and strengthened her love for Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Joseph and Candace Burt.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband William Richard Reed III, daughters Brenda Mayfield and husband Bob, Debra Burt and husband Craig, son Russell Reed and wife Shannon, sister Doris Groom and husband Paul. Grandchildren Jason Mayfield and wife Laura, Teri Finklea and husband Robby, Kelsey Solomon and husband Carl, Alexis Varela and husband Vincent, Kristina Edwards and husband Ernest, Robert J. Binger, Jr. Great-grandchildren Ashby Mayfield, Tobey Mayfield, Layton Reed, Arie Varela, Annabelle Finklea, Wyatt Finklea, Maxine Solomon, Hailey Crainer, Samanatha Yousif, Ian Palmer, Kayla Palmer, Alyssa Palmer, Jessica Edwards. Great-great grandchildren William Yousif, Adalyn Cuevas and many other loving family and friends.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 9:00 am with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 10:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573 with Pastor John Mark Benson presiding.  Interment will follow the ceremony at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, you may send memorials to Sagemont Church, 11300 S.
