Antonio “Bear” Lawrence Henry DeLeon
Antonio “Bear” Lawrence Henry DeLeon, 44, a resident of Houston, TX passed away on August 18, 2021, in Galveston, TX. Tony was born to Antonio & Amalia DeLeon on March 14, 1977 in Houston, TX. He attended Lakewood Church for 20 years with his family. Where he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. Tony “Bear” grew up in the Sagemont area where he attended Frazier Elementary & Thompson Int. He played for the Sagemont Cowboys for 7 years. He then moved & attended Galveston Catholic, & O’Connell College Prep where he graduated in 1995. He was a varsity letterman in football as a lineman. He earned his Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees from Lamar University in 2012. Tony was a kind, caring loving man that never met a stranger.
His father Antonio DeLeon preceded him in death. He leaves behind his mother, Amalia DeLeon; sister, Michelle DeLeon Whitely, husband Keith; brothers Sam Zimmerle, wife Margaret; and Michael Zimmerle, wife Yuko. And beloved nieces and nephews, Ashley, Devon, Keith Michael, Karessa, Sarah, Isabella, Marielle, Thomas, Great nephews Kingston & Kayson. And beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson with a service to begin at 7 p.m. Graveside service be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX.
