Annie Robertson Sullivan
Annie Robertson Sullivan, 75, a resident of La Porte, TX, formerly of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away at home with her loved ones on December 1, 2021. Annie was born in Ayr, Scotland on November 30, 1946. Annie retired from Bethania United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls where she worked for many years as a recovery nurse. While her siblings and their families remained in Scotland, Annie’s kind heart and generous nature created an extended family of friends and neighbors in the US. After retirement, Annie focused on her family; she had a special place in her heart for children and animals and was “Grannie” to all who knew and loved her.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander M. and Mary Robertson McMillan; sisters, Isabella McMillan and Helen Lynch; and brother, Phillip McMillan.
Annie leaves behind her beloved husband of 30 years, David Sullivan; three brothers, Alex M. (June) McMillan, John McMillan, Jeffrey McMillan; her three children, Juliee Hanlon of Oakley, California, Donna Shafer of Pasadena, TX, and Warren (Christina) Vassar of Azle, TX; her five grandchildren, Jordan Shafer, Alexandria Hanlon, , Brittany (Austin) Vassar Ham, Madelyn Salas, Brenyn Anothayanontha, and Olyvia Anothayanontha; her two great grandchildren, Rylan Vassar and Kenzleigh Ham; and numerous much loved nieces, nephews and extended family friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or other charitable organizations that support pancreatic cancer patients and research.
A celebration of Annie’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 6:00 pm. Please contact Donna Shafer for more details.
