Anne Ward passed away peacefully on November 3, 2019, at the age of 91, at her home in Seabrook, Texas. Anne leaves behind her: daughter Linda; sons, Bryce and Mark; grandchildren, Steven and Angela Carstens, Kate Yarbrough, Gareth and Graeme Milborrow, Sarah Christensen, Ross, Kathleen and Vincent Ward, Jackie and Russell Ward; great grandchildren, Sophie and Jessica Milborrow, Claire and Reed Christensen, Dillon and Nicole Yarbrough and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Cape Town, South Africa on December 20, 1927 but lived most of her life in Johannesburg, South Africa until moving to Texas in 1983. Anne married her beloved husband, Vincent Ward on December 31, 1949 and they were happily married for 67 years until his passing in 2017. Anne was a trained radiographer but her real passion was painting and gardening. Her paintings hang in family member’s homes around the world. Anne loved her garden and spent countless hours, along with her daughter Linda, cultivating her Seabrook garden. On days when Anne wasn’t out in the garden, she could be found playing bridge, doing the crossword or sharing her wisdom over a cup of tea. Anne had a caring heart and a zest for life that will be sorely missed by all who know her. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 7, 2019 at 3:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.
