Anita Lynn Johnson

Anita Lynn Johnson, 60, an Alvin resident for over 24 years was a loving, passionate, selfless woman who was loved dearly and will always be cherished. She received her angel wings January 28th, 2023, after a sudden cancer diagnosis. Anita, also known as “granny,” was born March 4th, 1962, in Houston Texas. She spent her childhood in East Texas where she would talk about wonderful memories on the farm. Her family moved back to the Houston area where she graduated high school and went on to become an Executive Assistant at Seaways Maritime Services.

Anita’s girls and grand babies were her heart and joy. She was such a loving mother and caring grandmother. She loved spending time with her grand babies, shopping and teaching them about Jesus and all things horses. Anita had a passion for researching, horses, music, and Jesus. She was a little country, a little rock n roll but mostly worship. She always said she would be on God’s worship team in heaven. Anita loved the Lord with all her heart and was a devout Christian and member of New Hope Church. She was a special woman, and we know she has a special place in Heaven.

She is preceded in life by her father Doyle Johnson. Anita leaves behind her two daughters Kristin Davis and Jaime Richardson, husband William; grandchildren Aaliyah Davis and Ella Richardson; Mother Sue Smith, husband Farrell; Sister Shelia Sandoval, husband Christopher; brothers: Randy Johnson, wife Sandy and Kerry Johnson, wife Anne.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Thursday, February 2, 2023, with a service to begin at 3:00pm in the chapel of Crowder Funeral home in Pearland Texas.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to St. Jude, www.stjude.org

  2. I am so happy that you are now pain and worry free! I will miss you more than anyone can know as there is nothing like the bond that sisters have. I will cherish the secrets that we still have and all the wonderful memories we made over the years, but most of all how we never knew what you were gonna say, but could guarantee that it would make us laugh! 🙂 I’m gonna “need” you to know that I will always be there for your girls as you would do the same for me. Sing as loud as you can in Heaven and make your presence known as a Johnson Girl has arrived. I love you more than words can say.

  3. My family and I are so blessed to have known Anita. She had a very charismatic personality and a wonderful smile. She was a fantastic mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. We are so thankful she got to spend time with her granddaughters before the Lord called her home. I pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to her family that is mourning her loss. We love you all.
