Alfonso R. Vazquez, of Houston, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 in Webster, Texas at the age of 93.  He was born on April 22, 1922 in Laredo, Texas to Ignacio and Candelaria Vazquez.  Al was a photographer for over 30 years at Braeswood Vazquez Photography and became the first Mexican American elected President of the Photographers Guild of Houston.  In his heart and mind, Al was an artist and published many political cartoons in the local papers.  Above all else he was a beloved husband, father grandfather, uncle, brother, and loyal friend.  He cherished the love of his father in law, Jose Segovia Medellin and his mother in law, Teresa Ante Medellin.  He was preceded in death by his wife Ofelia.  Alfonso is survived by his daughter Linda Boas and husband Fred III, grandchild Fred Boas IV and wife Alicia, great-grandchildren Macayla and Braydon and many other loving family and friends.  The Family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 9:00am with a Ceremony to follow at 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573.  Interment will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
