Air Force Captain Raymond Eugene Wilder Jr
Air Force Captain Raymond Eugene Wilder Jr., 70, passed away April 13th, 2019 in Webster, Texas. Raymond was born in Galveston, Texas on December 18th, 1948 to Raymond Eugene Wilder Sr. and wife Patricia (Killebrew). He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Martin, who was a second father to him throughout his younger years, and, most importantly, his wife and soulmate, Terri Wilder. Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Kelli Ann Wilder; sisters Pamela Wilder and Kimberly Wilder, and brothers Rodney Wilder, Randall Wilder, Tommy McGourty and William McGourty.
Raymond was a 35 year resident of Seabrook, formerly of California where he met Terri. He also served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Air Force, completing over 80 missions. He enjoyed investing his time in the sailing community, building model planes, and generally being the life of the party.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” – Hunter S. Thompson
A memorial service will be set by the family at a later date.
Sincere Condolences to the Wilder Family
