Cody Michael Gibson
Cody Michael Gibson, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin, gained his wings on January 1, 2025, to meet his creator and almighty God.
Cody was born July 24, 1985, to proud parents, George E. Gibson, Jr. and Deana Eldred Gibson. He lived to be 39 yrs. old. He leaves behind his Father and Mother, George and Deana; his Brother, Chad (Chad’s son Jesse); his Grandmother, Eva Lou Jones Eldred Wallen; Step Grandfather, John Wallen; Aunt, Dottie Eldred Duhe; Uncle, Kevin Eldred (wife Kathy Mings Eldred); Cousin, Nicholas Duhe (Nick’s wife, Bonnie & their 2 children, Harris and Camile) and his Cousin, Shelby Eldred. He will also be missed by many other loved ones and friends.
Cody is preceded in eternal life by his Paternal Grandfather, George Gibson, Sr., Maternal Grandfather, Bill M. Eldred and Maternal Great Grandmother, Estella Eldred.
Cody was born in Webster, TX. He spent the first half of his childhood in Dickinson, TX, attending Shrine of the True Cross School. The second half of Cody’s childhood was in League City, TX; graduating from Clear Creek High School in 2003; where he lettered in Band. He was in Marching, Concert and Symphonic Bands. Cody, later, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from University of Houston in Clear Lake, Texas. While working on his degree, he also achieved several associated certifications in Information Technology.
In 2021, Cody went to Lake Tahoe, Nevada, for a seasonal internship job with Stanford University, Sierra Campus. The beauty of the mountains and lake captured Cody’s heart. He remained in the Tahoe area and took up residence in Reno, NV to present day.
Cody loved writing, composing and performing music. He was extremely blessed with music talent. He could play any instrument set before him. He will be remembered for his music talents as well as his sharp mind, quick wit, quirky sense of humor, ability to recite and impersonate lines from movies, his courage, gentle nature and his tremendous love for his family.
In Cody’s honor, A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 8th at Crowder Funeral Home, 851 FM 517, Dickinson, TX. Pastor Brian Haynes officiating. Visitation is from 11:00 AM until noon. Service begins at Noon with Interment to follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock, TX.
