Ted Edward Davis
Ted Edward Davis, 66, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. He was born on September 8, 1958, to Lawrence Davis and Alice Irene Toice, and was a proud graduate of Pearland High School.
Ted was a dedicated member of the Harbor Church in Friendswood, where his faith and compassion touched the lives of many. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly for Colorado, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. Ted also loved the beach, often finding peace in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the ocean and enjoyed spending his time looking for the perfect spot to go fishing in the surf.
He cherished the times spent with his family, and nothing brought him more joy than having everyone together, especially during the holidays. Ted also had a long and fulfilling career in the oil and gas industry, spending over 40 years in maritime logistics and inspection. He started his own company, Davis Maritime, and built a reputation as a respected figure in the industry, leaving behind many friends and colleagues who will miss his dedication and leadership.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Alice. He is survived by his sons, Ted Davis (Sarah), Daniel Davis (Grace), and Jake Davis (Kenzy); daughters, Savannah Davis, and Gabby Davis; sisters, Donna Battenfield and Lari Patterson; brother, Dick Davis; and his beloved grandchildren; Everly, Adalyn, Rylan, Milton, and Juliette.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway Street, Pearland, TX 77581. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dana Aaronson.
Ted will be remembered for his love of family, the great outdoors, the beach, and his dedication to his work. His presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
I am praying for the Davis family.
I met Ted at the Harbor church 5 years ago.
He immediately touched my heart just seeing the love of Jesus in his heart.
He loved Jesus just like he loved others
He quickly became a friend to me and I will treasure the memories forever
Ted, we miss you so much! I remember our time together the nights you hosted the older men’s singles Bible Study. You were such a generous host. It was apparent that you loved Jesus, and you loved your family well. I will see you again one day.
Your brother in Jesus,
Justin
So very sorry to hear of Ted’s passing. Praying for the whole family. Love y’all.
