Seab Clyde Treadway
On April 25, 2024, Seab Clyde Treadway of Manvel, Texas passed away. He was 78 years old.
Seab is survived by his children, Kelley (Jimmy) Bass; Shannon (Mike) Finfrock; Brandon (Hollie) Treadway; Ryan (Jamie) Treadway and Austin Broadstock; siblings Louise (Gerald) Miller and Leroy (Beverly) Treadway. Grandchildren Reese Whitley, Blake Treadway, Evan Treadway, Nevaeh Treadway, Skyla Treadway, Spenser Hewett, and Harris Bass. Great grandchildren Eliot Hewett and Rose Hewett. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawson and Mary (Mathews) Treadway; siblings Able Treadway, Vernon Treadway, and Lucille Balling.
Seab was born on September 22, 1945 in Cherokee, NC. He graduated from Greenon High School in 1963. He served in various roles (most recently as a Union representative) at General Motors in Dayton, OH, retiring from the Delphi division after 32 years. After retirement, he continued working as a truck driver. This aligned with his lifelong passion for cars, not just as a vocation, but as a hobby. He was always searching for the next ‘good deal’ in which to breathe new life. He had a special place in his heart for late sixties Pontiacs.
He was also known as Papa and Grandpa, and always had a smile and piece of candy for the kids. His family will celebrate his life with a private memorial service.
I am so lucky to have known Seab. He was a great man. He always put a smile on my face, and I will miss our chats so much. Sending prayers and hugs to the family.
